These terms apply to playindiefirst.com, a promotional site published by Play Indie First for its city-building and civilisation strategy game. By using the site you accept them.
What this site offers
The site describes the game and its five districts, publishes development notes, and lets you ask to join the newsletter and the wishlist reminder. It is promotional material about a game in Early Access: features described here are part of the game, not services delivered through this website.
The game itself is sold and installed through the stores listed on the site. Purchases, refunds and account matters on those stores are governed by the terms of the store you buy from, not by these terms.
Early Access
The game is in Early Access with a full release planned. Content described on this site reflects the current build and the direction of development, and individual systems may change between builds as the work described in the devlog continues.
The subscription
Sending the form is a request, not a completed subscription. We add your address to the newsletter and the wishlist reminder once we have processed the request, and the first message you receive from us confirms it. Until then nothing is sent.
You can stop receiving messages at any time by replying to any of them or writing to [email protected]. We may also close a subscription if messages to the address keep bouncing, or if the address is used to abuse the form.
The subscription is free. We do not charge for it and we do not resell it.
Age
The game contains a virtual casino district. This site, the devlog and the mailing list are intended for people aged 18+ and over, and the form should only be used by people of that age.
Using the site properly
- Do not use the form to send unlawful, misleading or abusive content.
- Do not attempt to disrupt the site, its hosting or its mail delivery.
- Do not copy the site's text, images or code for republication without our permission.
Content and ownership
The text, images, interface and code on this site belong to Play Indie First, except where something is identified as belonging to someone else. You may quote short extracts with a link back to the page you took them from.
Availability and liability
We keep the site available and its content accurate as far as we reasonably can, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access or that every description matches every future build. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from use of the site. Nothing in these terms excludes rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot be excluded.
Events outside our control
We are not responsible for delays or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including network and hosting outages, power failures, industrial action or natural events.
Changes
We may update these terms as the site and the game develop. The current version is always the one published here, and it applies from the moment it appears.
